Guess what else I made. Yes...it's made with (tart) cherries. Cherry Bounce! Here's the recipe (at the end of the post). |
Look how well my cauliflower is growing!! (I honestly have no recollection of planting kohlrabi -- but I must have :-) I thought it was cauliflower until just the other day LOL!) |
.....praying for rain out west.
.....dr momi

well, you had me puzzled for a second when you said cauliflower. my mom used to grow kohlrabi and we LOVED it! YUM! fresh peeled with a dash of salt. thanks for that!
ReplyDeletethanks for the prayer for rain!
You had me going with the cauliflower comment too! LOL!! Your cherries look great, I checked out the Cherry Bounce recipe, YUM!!
ReplyDeletecherry bounce....
ReplyDeleteLove the canned cherries! I bet they will be delicious this winter, and they look so pretty in the jars.
ReplyDeleteYou gave me serious cherry envy. Your jars look wonderful! I do love homemade cherry pie! I also have a great recipe for a cherry cake-like dessert served with cherry sauce over the top. Yup, I do like cherries.
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing with kohlrabi last fall; thought it was cauliflower- how funny!
ReplyDeleteTexwisgirl ...I will have to try raw kohlrabi and salt...never had that before.
ReplyDeleteCandy c. and Rox....Your Cherry Bounce should be "cooking", lol!
Debbie and Mama Pea....aren't the cherries pretty canned? Almost too pretty to eat. Hopefully the one I pulled for my fair entry gets 1st place! My son likes a chocolate-cherry cake for his birthday every year. I'll have to try a cherry sauce instead of frosting!
Michele....I am so glad you shared that with me!! I laughed out loud! They do look alike in the beginning don't they!
Also, I think your braided garlic looks just fine! I just used the last of mine from last year. This year I have more - double or triple.
ReplyDeleteThose cheeries are so pretty all canned up. I love cherries. I haven't seen cherry tree around here forever. I thought you might be trying to trick me on the cauliflower; what is that, I thought? Debi
ReplyDeleteI like your garlic braid!! I'd call it a 'rustic' look. Everyone's posting food...makin' me hungry! Your cherries look delicious.
ReplyDeleteYour garlic braid is great!! I'd just call it 'rustic'! And those cherries...yum!
ReplyDeleteThose canned cherries look delicious.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up. :) Enjoyed your pictures.......
ReplyDeleteOh, you've been so busy!!!!!!!!!! The canned cherries look so good. I'll have to try that sometime.
