Need A Funny Caption

What's you caption for this week?

                                                        Last Week:

For today's lesson in self awareness we will begin with releasing our inner wolf.
You are a mighty wolf...see the wolf...feel the wolf...you are the wolf...

Last week's caption by Melodie over at"
Hop on over to her blog and check out her naturally
dyed yarn -- beautiful!
I truly laughed out loud when I read your caption Melodie!

This was a hard week to pick one -- they all made me laugh!
Other captions were:

From Gail over at: At The Farm
There's just something about bad dogs that made Yellow Dog swoon every time.

From Ronda over at: The Pauley Principle
Now watch and try it again. GRRR-R-R, like you mean it!

From Leigh over at: 5 Acres & a Dream
"I've been so excited about watching this documentary, 'How to Release Your Inner Wolf.' "

From Kathy
When the "God of all Dogs" speaks, I listen. "Hail CAESAR!"

This is a picture of Future Leader Dog Boone
watching the movie Snow Dogs on TV.
He watched TV all the time.  I'll post "A Boone Story" tomorrow.
 It will make you smile.
I had lots of comments about the sticker on his "bum".  :-)
Pioneer Women does that on her blog -- I like it.
Better than throwing the pic out :-)
By the way, Boone never made it as a Leader Dog -- too distracted.
He is now a very happy pet.

A Blackjack Story

No, not a blackjack story, a Blackjack story.  Blackjack was the 4th puppy I raised for Leader Dogs for The Blind.  He's a black lab, out in the field now, leading a blind person.  When Blackjack was about about 6 months old, his head stood about 2 1/2 feet off the ground.  When Blackjack was 6 months old; my grandson Ryan was about 2 years old, and his face was about 2 1/2 feet off the ground.

One Sunday evening when the whole family -12 adults - were over for supper, Ryan sneezed.  I do believe both sinuses totally emptied -- both nostrils had snot hanging down 3 inches. (Sorry, it's gross I know :-)  In unison, every adult in the room said  "quick, get a tissue!"  As noted, Blackjack's head stood exactly the same height as Ryan's face.  Blackjack heard the sneeze, wandered over, and with one great big lick, took care of the situation!   ......in unison everyone said, "eehwww...never mind!"

Did we all laugh big belly laughs......and NO puppy kisses for a while.

Blackjack
Sorry about the watermark.  Seems this Christmas,
black lab pictures were in high demand :-)

Monday

My Apron Reveal

I decided to use some fabric I picked up at Goodwill about 3 years ago.
I found out why there was "over 10 yards" of material.  At the fold of the material it
was all faded.  I'm sure a store found it at the end of a bolt and donated it.
Of course I didn't see it until after everything was cut out and some of the hems
were already done.  Good thing I'm a "faded jeans" kinda girl.
I just went with the flow.

Remember I don't sew.  I didn't even have any straight pins!
...and I didn't buy any either :-)

I did buy two different EASY  (r-i-g-h-t) patterns.
I went with the striped apron from the pattern on the left.

I had to dig my iron out of the depths of a cupboard because
I used hemming tape for all my edges.
....no I didn't use any duct tape....I know you were all
looking forward to seeing that LOL!

I knew there was no way those tie seams would stay together while
I turned them inside out with just hemming tape.
I had to go on to another plan.
I used grommets and cotton rope for the neck and waist ties.
Oh....and all 4 grommets I put in backwards!!  I planned it that way....right.

And For The Drumroll Please!!!!

This is my daughter Kristy laughing her head off
when we figured out where the tassels ended up!  LOL
THIS WAS NOT PLANNED!!!
....and this is not where the tassels ended up on me LOL!
And there is no way I could have doubled the waist ties and
tied them in the front!
She tried it on at our cookie decorating party.
You should have heard all us girls cackle!!!

Now....quit looking at the tassles and notice the cute
blue checked pockets. (Had no idea I could do that.)
Oh....and notice the faded "fold" right down the middle :-).
(This was before I had the bottom hem done.)

Will I wear it for Thanksgiving??
Aahhh....not until those tassels get fixed !!

I had fun making it!
Hop on over to Susan's to see all the others!

What's your caption for this week?

From last week:

"Hey look, I'm Mr. Potato Head!"

This week's caption coined by Grumpy Grateful Mom.
Thanks SO MUCH for playing Need a Funny Caption!

I'm going to try things just a little different everyone.  I'm going to try to mention all the captions.
If it gets to where it's too much for me I'll have to go back to one,
but I think you all need to laugh as much as I did all week :-)

.... from TexWisGirl at The Run*A* Round Ranch Report :
"My sister says she really wants a Mr. Potato Head.  I think this could work..."

.... from Judy at My Freezer is Full :
"Head up...chest out...posture...posture..."

.... from Candy C  at Lazy J Bar C Farm :
"I dug these up all by myself."

.... from Dicky Bird at Dicky Bird's Nest :
"No, I'm not a tatter tot..."
(I laughed right out loud Jackie)

...from my sister Roxey at Roxey Lucey :
That's one big "tato".

.....from my Mom on facebook:
"One potato, two potato, three potato, four."

....from Alice on facebook:
"If I can balance this on my head I should be able to carry the rest."

This is a picture of my Grandson Brayden last summer.
(on one of the hottest days ever!)
Brayden's nickname is "Tato".  His aunt kept calling him
Brado Potato.  His little cousins could only say "Tato", and it stuck.
Call him "Tato" today (he's three now) and he'll answer.
I do believe this picture will be at his wedding :-)

Last week:

"So...if I just gave the baby treat to the dog
...what did I give to the baby?"

Last week's caption coined by Mama Tea over at:
A Farmish Kind Of Life
Thanks so much for playing Mama Tea!

This is a picture of my daughter (with the toast in her hand),
and 3 little beggars.  From left to right:  Future Leader Dog Boone 4 months old,
Grandson Logan about 9 months old, and Billy -- old enough to know better!
I had to snap the picture......and then the dogs were given the command to
"BACK-OFF" .....and Logan got the toast. :-)

FYI.....this would be an extremely dangerous situation with the wrong
dogs involved.  Billy has NEVER ever competed for food and we could trust him.
At the command "Back-off" he will leave the room.
